It would be nice to be able to plot distance against time when doing a compare. Until a dot racer type feature is available it would allow you see at what point you were ahead or behind.
This is the feature I am using, the "Compare activity to.." option in the Training center. I am suggesting an enhancement.
You can set the x-axis to time. I then have three options for the y-axis, pace, speed or elevation.
If distance was an option on the y-axis (while time was set on the x-axis), you could see at what point you were ahead or behind of what you are comparing to.
Do you want to see this in Garmin Connect or an enhancement to Training Center. This particular section of the forum is for feature requests for Garmin Connect. I can move this to the TC area if needed.
Oops I didn't actually spot that. I was pretty happy when I found the feature requests forum (nice ideal) as its just what I was looking for.
Does Garmin connect intend to support the compare feature? I don't see the compare feature on garmin connect. I think the compare feature would be nice in Garmin connect also.
If garmin connect were to support the compare feature I would like to see the enhancement in both garmin connect and training center.
So maybe a copy of this request rather than a move?
+1 Using Training Center is not a workable solution. TC and GC do not sync databases and trying to keep both up to date would be very time consuming and frustrating. TC has a place (for me editing TCX files and backing up data locally).
I don't know if this is a feature on the Mac version, but in the PC version, you right click on one activity and choose Compare. Then you can choose the activity to compare to.
I would really like to see compare in Connect ... That's my preferred tool over the desktop though I do sync with both. I'm on Mac mainly and did not see that in the desktop either ...
Would really be nice to have this option. TC may have the feature but I usually don't use it, because I mainly use Linux, so to go into TC I have to reboot with Win. GC as webbase application works great here.
