Issue with manual upload of TCX files

I exported my whole TC database as a TCX file (43MB) and tried to upload it to Garmin Connect but it failed. Suspecting that the size of the file may have caused the issue, I then exported few single runs (with size varying from 2KB up to 1.1MB) that I tried to upload individually but I kept getting the following error message:

"Unable to upload file. Possible reasons for this error:
- You are not signed in. Refresh this page and try again.
- Our servers are having technical difficulties."

As I use a PC with Windows Vista Premium, I followed the advice posted on the forum and added *.garmin.com to the trusted sites in the Windows security center. I also disabled the firewall of Norton 360 and tried again but in spite of all this, I keep receiving the same message when trying to upload even small individual runs... really dunno what to do!

Anybody know how to fix or work around this issue?

  • Sure! Here you go with a sample of 5 files that keep failing to be uploaded. For info and since my earlier post, I succeeded uploading most of my files (on an individual basis) EXCEPT eight of them... that's weird as I can't find any common pattern (date, size, location) between them. Thanks in advance for your help!
  • Well, well, well... in fact I just realized that all the files that won't upload are treadmills training activities that I had to create from scratch in TC given my Forerunner does not track distance when I do treadmills training
