" Share" feature doesnt work

The " Share" feature for my GF 305 is not working. I read the faq and it was explained that the activities had to be "Public" whatever that means. How do I know if they are public? I have a Mac.

They need to be public. To verify, go to your activities screen, click "quick edit," click the lock icons so that they are open instead of locked.
