Huge descrepencies between details and player

I'm not sure whether this is the same issue that's reported a few posts below but I'd like to explain the problem I'm getting.

I'm using a Forerunner 301 and data was consistent on Motion Based between the details\summary screens and the player. However, now I'm using Connect (seems far inferior to MB by the way) the info on the player screen can be several miles less then what I actually rode (both on the device and in the details).

An example is tonights ride - http://connect.garmin.com/activity/10619577

I rode 14.5 miles , correctly shown on the device, in SportTracks and on the connect details page. However the player screen shows the ride as being 12.37 miles. The lost miles seem to be the ones at the start as the start of the climb shown at 4.35 miles was actually 6.5 miles into the ride. The ride to that point was a fairly straight road so I'd be suprised if it was a waypoint issue.

Is this an issue you are aware of, if so is a fix planned and if so could you give a rough idea on timescales?

Edit:Just had a closer look and it does seem to be same issue...there's large chunks where the line cuts straight across.

    Hi!

To complicate things even more: in my case (the one you are certainly referring to), I have the same distance data both in the details and in the player in ALL my activities. There's no difference here. But, in ALL my activities, there are less trackpoints shown in the player than in the details.

One more weird thing: the player does not show the map at start. I have to click one of those two pull-down menus selecting the y-axis data (speed, elevation, etc.) to see the map . I am using Safari 4.0.2 on a 10.5.7 G5 iMac.

    I begin to love Connect...

    Cheers
