Installing map updates c510

Hi all,ihave a c510 streetpiolet which i have owned for a couple of years so i purchased life up dates for said unit ive downloaded all files i need form garmin site,but cant get maps to download to my pc.I Have extracted the large file from garmin which takes ages then tick accept box i then get a message map data exceeds storage capacity of your gps device when next is pressed a message comes up pls select a region of the map you want to install, uk and ireland in my case.The problem is the dropdown box is blank any thoughts pls

Chris, there was an issue with the Garmin servers that handle the map updates. This issue should be resolved at this point. Can you give the update another try?

I'm having the same problem, blank dropdown box and the message "the updated map data exceeds the capacity of your garmin gps".
Any help appreciated. Chris: did you get it to work? How?
