Garbage!

Garmin Connect is GARBAGE! There is nothing ENHANCED on this website! They are offering the SAME features they offered with GARMIN ANALYZER that comes with the GPS, only this is web based! GARMIN - you should have waited to have your site up and running with the features of motionbased before you went and messed everything up! Think of the CUSTOMER base you are losing or making angry!
Motion Based may have had issues as far as uploading data, but at least the reporting features are USABLE! GARMIN - YOU JUST TOOK 10 STEPS BACKWARDS.... FOCUS FAST AND MOVE FORWARD! Some of us rely on certain data that we NOW cannot GET!

Edited for language.

I do not think I have seen such a downward spiral in customer service before.

No one can be this dumb so I figure it is by design. Perhaps Garmin would be happy if all the MB users just went away and only new users who don't know any better would sign up for the Garmin Connect. It is free and you do get what you pay for which in this case is very very little.

Later, when all the po'd MB users are gone, I think I read on an announcement where Garmin will charge for premium services. Translated that means when they figure out how to get the functionality of MB in Garmin Connect.

Stop hiring your JUNIOR programmers and hire some real programmers and get this site working NOW!!!

Spend more of your time fixing the web site and get my
STOP TIME, OVERALL TIME, WEATHER, and a few other important features working. If you want use to use your products you need to get your Butts in gear!!

    well it seems

that my last 4 posts have been removed. It appears that I am refrained from finding faulty links on their sites and posting them is against the house rules.
and naming other companies must be against house rules as well.

    Garbage collection

    JLLACLAIR --

Your frustration is understandable -- there has been a loss of some functionality, the transition has been slower than was announced, and sometimes the server gets overloaded.

I see five posts by you in this thread. Obviously, someone isn't targeting you to make sure your voice is silenced.

Yes, it looks like you ran into some transitory server issue. It does happen, and not just to Garmin. The usual advice is to try again later. If there is a planned outage or some ongoing problem, RUNKK usually posts a notice about it under the Garmin Connect/Announcements page.

As for posting about other companies, no, I there isn't a ban that I know of. I have seen other posts referencing other activity tracking software and those posts haven't been pulled.

If some of your posts were deleted, I imagine it was because they were judged to be uncivil. If you have a question, a problem, or advice, please share it. The forum is for the benefit of all of us, not just a means for you to get some scream therapy.
  • Pointing out broken links I'm sure is appreciated, however, the best place to post such information is with Garmin Support. Please read the following for information on how to do so:
    https://forums.garmin.com/showthread.php?t=503

As far as posts being deleted or edited, we hope that by keeping language civil we hope to avoid discussions that degenerate into incivility and aim to keep things as constructive as possible. Venting frustrations is acceptable too, but not to the point that posts become redundant and argumentative.

These forums are meant largely as a means of support for users and most often by users. Please use the appropriate channels if you are looking for Garmin customer service.

I'm not a Newbie to Motionbased or Connect.garmin... as far as civil.... bring Motionbased back online!
