It's there, but it's hard to see. Look a couple of lines below the activity line, and you'll see a line that you can edit.
Are you talking about the description field? I just tried to enter a long description like I would in a training log and it gave me a server error message, kicked me off the site and now I can't log back in.
I had the forums opened in another tab so I can type this reply. What's going to happen when I hit submit though? Was I kicked off all of Garmin?
Yes, I mean the description field. It's directly under the "By <username>" line, two lines below the date and time line, three lines below the activity name line.
GC seems temperamental today. I was trying (unsuccessfully) to upload a tcx file, then I couldn't get to the GC site at all for a while. I'm back on the site, but I still can't upload the tcx file.
I'm back in now. That description field will sort of work, but I would like the ability to enter in a longer description, more like a training log.
The site's been really slow for me the last few days. I'm guessing the transfer over isn't going as smoothly as they hoped. Hopefully it'll all get smoothed out. I'm checking out training peaks right now as a backup plan though.

A line of input is OK for very quick remarks. I would prefer to see an additonal tab on the activity page alongside Heartrate, Cadence called Notes. This would allow me to enter free form text about my bike ride or run like who was on the ride or run, what the weather conditions were like, any punctures or other notable events during the activity etc. This is often useful when reviewing past activities.
I think this would be a great addition to the GC software.
