Garmin Extrex SE will only display 104.2 miles even if you have covered 280 miles.

    It is reproducible and an error in the device FW.

    The device records the entire track, but stops counting the distance at 167.4 km ( ~ 104 miles ).

    If you observe the data field for distance during the recording, you can see live that the distance recording stops at exactly this distance each time, while the actual track continues to be recorded.

    This behavior is reproducible.

    A factory reset does not help.

    So it appears to be a software issue that needs sorting out. Another issue for Garmin

    Using the SE. I have found a number of software issues that need rectifying. Plus the Explore app is now rubbish

    Yes, I can confirm this bug. There is also an elevation bug. When out on the open sea I see an elevation of -150 feet to -350 feet.

    How does this stuff get by their testing?
