Embed Workouts in Blog or other sites

I'd love to be able to embed my workouts on my blog or other sites ... the player is awesome, but a smaller version to push out would be excellent as well.

    In addition

Motionbased also has the ability to embed an activity window into a blog post by creating a Viewport ... this feature ALSO seems to be missing in Garmin Connect.

    RSS Feed

On the main dashboard page just a little to the top right of the list is a little RSS Link button. Click that, or right click and copy link. Paste that into an RSS feed, or any sharing site that you would like that supports it. That should get it in more places.

I'm pretty sure that's how I get one of my blogs into facebook, as notes. However FB only allows to pull in one RSS feed. And sharing on twitter may be more difficult, with the 140 character limit, but could just send a link and the first 50-100 characters?
  • what I am really looking for is a smaller version of the player ... like an embeddable widget.

I've found the best option btw for getting feeds into Twitter is Twitterfeed. You can set how it's named and time how frequently it's polled as well. Works great for blog posts or all kinds of things. I use it for Google Reader Shares, Delicious Bookmarks, YouTube Favs and Diggs.
  • For Facebook I'm using the MyMotionBased application. Connects to Garmin Connect and updates your news feed.

    Thanks Phil.

Honestly I will be changing the application name soon! I think it'll become SportsConnect or something like that, to reflect the move from MotionBased to Connect, and also that it'll also take imports from SportTracks.

Great work Matt! Much appreciated. :D
  • Yes, I also agree. Great work. But do please notify your users when you make enhancements. I did not know about recent changes to support Garmin Connect until I saw it on a friend's FB listing.
