Manually transfer individual MB activities to Garmin Connect?

Can you move a single activity from MB to my GarminConnect account? I don't have training center on my computer but would like to download a specific event to my 305 as a new course. I'm tired of waiting for the migration!

From MB you can export individual activities (up to 10 at a time) as Training Center history files (TCX) and upload them manually to Garmin Connect.

Eventually, these activities will end up as duplicates and you will need to delete them. Hopefully by then, there will be available a mass-delete feature.

Thanks for the info. I exported the tcx file of my activity to my desktop, but when I went to garminconnect to manually upload it, once I selected the file and it started processing, a message came back telling me that it didn't upload. Is this the correct way to do this and it's just not working? Thanks!

Can you attach the zip compressed version of the file here.

    Zipped activity

This is what was downloaded when I exported the activity as a gpx file.

    Thanks for any help!!

Oh, I thought you were exporting activity history files as TCX or HST format. I don't believe GC supports GPX uploads yet. Have you tried to export from MB as a History file?

I tried to upload the HST file and got the same message; Some activities could not be created.

Should I really be doing this through Training Center?

It is possible that GC cannot accept HST format files. I may have misled you since I use a Mac and an export from MB when your browser is detected as Mac-based, you will receive the TCX format of the activity file which is directly uploadable manually to Garmin Connect.

Try changing your User-agent to be a Mac browser and see if MB can export as a real TCX file.

Alternately, you can use the following URL (substituting the xxxxxx with your activity number) and you should receive a TCX formatted file.

    h ttp://trail.motionbased.com/trail/export.mb?episodePkValues=xxxxxx&forceVersion2=true

Give this a try and see.

I would have thought MB would have defaulted to TCX format by now, but I don't use Windows that often.

I see what the problem was. The windows based MB only has GPX, HST, and CRS formats listed as export options. Once I copied that link with the activity number to save it as a TPX, I had no problem importing the activity into GarminConnect. Thanks again!
