"Reoccurring" Goals

Would be nice to have a "Reoccurring" check box when creating new goals. That would save time and effort not having to create the same goal over and over many times, like riding a certain number of miles or hours per week, every week.

    Reoccuring goals - Exactly!

It would also be nice to pull up a page that graphs total mileage for all the weeks for a given period of time (or months over a given period etc). The ability to add various bits of data to the graph would be appreciated. An example of this would be a page that shows a graph of all the mileage for each month in a selected period with the ability to add lines accross for "goal" or "average".

Great Ideas - Here's Two More

Not sure if these are "Great" ideas, but I like them.

How about making it possible to comment on your goals. So, say you pass your goal, or miss you, you can say why, how you felt about it, will it lead to a more aggressive future goal, pull it back a little, etc.

Also how about something more open ended without a limit to 30 days. Say, run 250 miles. Then just see how long it takes. (This could also be used for tracking the age of shoes, too, then.)

    Recurring Goals

    Hi,
I've quickly scanned through other threads in the feature requests area and haven't seen one related to my request, apologies if I've missed one.

I'd really appreciate it if I could set up a recurring goal. As an example I'd like to set up a goal for 250km's cycling per week. At the start of each 7 day period it would simply start again in the Active Goals as well as post results for the last 7 day period to Historical Goals.

Unless I'm missing something I can't do this, I need to create a new goal every week, and also give it a distinct name.

    Respectfully,
    Ian

Yes, that seems like it would be a relatively easy feature to add, and it would be really useful.

Thank you for combining my post with the earlier suggestion. :)
I missed this original post when I created my own, I wasn't trying to create a duplicate.

That's ok. With 6 pages of Requests, it can get a little hard to keep them straight!

So it seems Garmin doesn't actually value user input.  It's April 2020 and I've found my exact same suggestion from someone else 11 years ago. All I want to do is create a goal of 15 miles per week for 1 year without creating 52 one week goals.  Why can't 15 miles per week with an end date of 1 year from now be added to Garmin Connect?  One word answer - indifference.  Garmin is indifferent to user suggestions. They simply don't care.
