Sending Courses to Forerunner 310xt

I have found a route run by someone else near where I live and would like to try it. I tried to use the "Send to Device" and it finds my Forerunner, I click on Send Course, it says Preparing Course and then says Successfully Sent but nothing happens to my Forerunner and there is no course there.

Any ideas? Is what I am trying to do possible?

    Do you have the Ant Agent running? Training Center notifies the Ant Agent to send the courses to the 310. The Ant Agent actually does the transferring.

    What version of Ant Agent do you have?

    It is version 2.2.1. Any ideas you may have would be welcomed.
  • This certainly should work. Works for me with ANT agent 2.2.1 and Communicator plugin version 2.7.3. As April asked, is the ANT agent running? You should see it in the system tray and it should not have a red line across it. Also, make sure your forerunner is powered on when attempting the transfer. Have you been able to do anything else with the ANT agent, such as send activities to GC?

    Can't upload courses to 310XT

    I have attempted to upload courses to my device from GC, I have the ANT agent up and running, I have the correct communicator plug in, the device is on. GC indicates it is reading the device, and then says it has transferred to device, but it hasn't. I have successfully sent activities from the device to GC. Any thoughts:(
  • Do you see any info in GAA (pending uploads/error messages) and do you already have any courses loaded on the device? How large is the course you are trying to send?

    Anyone ever figure this out. I have the exact same problem on my new 310xt.
  • Exact how? Would help to post some details specific to your situation--even if it just reiterates what the others have said. Can you post the details of what you are doing/seeing/ browser/OS/firmware version numbers, etc. asked of others in the thread?

    Sorry about that. The same as in I have attempted to upload a few different courses to my device from Garmin Connect, I have the ANT agent up and running, I have the correct communicator plug in, the device is on. Garmin Connect indicates it is reading the device, and then says it has transferred to device, but I do not see any courses on my device. I have successfully sent activities from the device to G Connect. I am using IE 8, and the Foreunner has 2.6 software. on it. Thanks
  • Thanks. Next question then is what I asked just before your post--any pending files in the ANT agent? Any error messages? Do you currently have any courses on the watch? Also, you should be running version 2.2.7 of the ANT agent (just to be sure) and you might try using the GC site in compatibility mode in IE 8 (GC seems a little buggy in some areas when not using this mode).
  • Ok, one last thing. I was finally able to recreate a similar error in IE on one of my computers. The solution was to do the following:

    In Internet Explorer go to Tools> Internet Options
    Click the Security tab, select Trusted Sites, click Sites button
    uncheck 'require server verification
    Under "add this web site to the zone" enter -
    *.garmin.com
    Click add, close, OK
