It seems easy to share public activities with others by simply copying the URL out of GC and passing it onto others. Like this: http://connect.garmin.com/activity/9768538

Not as currently designed. This is not the first time this request has come up, but I wouldn't know if it is or whether it will be in the Garmin Connect timeline.
No solution. 10 years later, the same awful limitation. I Don’t want to share my heart rate info. That’s private. Happy to share routes and other details. Garmin makes it impossible for me to share anything unless I share my heart rate data. So I share nothing with anyone. I will look into Suunto and other competitors.
