next and previous activity link

When viewing or editing an individual activity, it would be nice to have a way of directly viewing the next or previous activity, relative to the activity being viewed. This would be analogous to gmail (and other web-based email) programs that, when viewing a message, have link to the next newer or the next older email message.

Right now, if I want to look at a sequence of activities I did a while ago, I have to go out to the myConnect > Activities, and then select the page where that contains the activities I'm looking at, and then choose the individual activity. This can be a bit slow and tedious.
  • I like this idea too. Another possibility would be the option to make all the edits one can currently make in the detail view also be available in the edit options on the myConnect > Activities view.

Do you mean the quick edit link on the myConnect > Activities page? When you do this, you can edit the privacy, activity name, and event type of all activities on the same page. About the only thing you can't edit is the little text field under the activity name, which is where I store my notes. I don't know if the quick edit link has always been there; I just noticed it this morning.
  • Yes, exactly. That is where I presume the bulk delete feature will go eventually (currently can only delete from activity detail view) and aside from that I also need (want) to be able to edit my comments field here (the field you reference) as this is where i leave notes important for my training: shoe type, clothing, etc.

    Link List for Switching

Well, how about a link list, kind of like on Firefox's (or other browsers) back buttons. Click it, and a drop down list will show, what say the ten runs before/after the run you are looking at. Meaning, if you look at a run three days ago (and you run every day) and click the button, you'd see at the top, today's, next down yesterdays, 2 days ago, highlight the viewed workout, then below have 4 days ago, 5, 6... Just have 10 total. I think that would cover it pretty well. And not just the title. Title, date, miles would help pick which one.
