UI Update?

Hi,

The connect site is much better looking and more usable than motionbased but there is one just one minor thing that is annoying! - The tabs for myConnect and Explore. I constantly find myself in the wrong "Activities" section because my mouse has rolled over the Explore tab and I am into searchable rather than my activities.

Am I being to fussy or do other people get this issue too?
  • It does happen for me too. More susceptible for me since my mouse tracking is set to fast and mouseover the wrong menu happens all the time with me. It's not a Garmin Connect issue only for me, as it happens with OS-related menuing system also. Not much I can do about that other than slowing down for menu selections.
  • No, you aren't too fussy. Usually happens to me when going from the myConnect tab to activities. I suppose it could be fixed by moving the myConnect tab to the right, so that the activities menu is not under another tab.

The next release of Garmin Connect contains slight change to the menu bar. As more items are added "Activities" under "myConnect" tab is no longer directly under "Explore" tab any more. Hope this slight update will reduce some of the confusions.
  • I think the issue is more the functionality - as soon as the mouse goes over "explore" the tab becomes active, since the sub-menus are beneath these tops tabs the automatic (and most economical) thing to do is to move in a straight line from "myConnect" to your selection. As you say the new features will fix this for the activities but it will just happen elsewhere.
I think it would be best to make the tabs active on a click rather than as the mouse rolls over.

I see your point, but the odds of rolling over the Explore tab are less because most users will most often be going form from myConnect to Activities. As LARRYCHEN said, it will reduce, not eliminate the problem.
