One of the updates has caused everything to default to Paved road surface if the bike is ridden on an unknown trail. I'm riding my bike on my own property, basically forest and fields. There is NO database that would list this as paved and there are no paved road surfaces within a half mile. Connect will show that the surface was 100% paved. Older versions just left the surface blank if it didn't have a reference to show what the surface was.
