changing usernames

When I set up my Motion Based account a long, long time ago, I used my real name as my username. Yes, this was a mistake.

However, on the Motion Based forum, I somehow changed the way my username was displayed to something more anonymous, but I can't figure out how to do this with the Garmin Connect forum.

In addition to changing my username in the forums, I'd also like to do this for my activities that I post on Garmin Connect. Is there a way to do this?

    You are not alone,

    I sent a warning E-mail to a Garmin employee who was using is work e-mail as a login.

    My 2 cents: I believe you should not rely on posting on the forums to resolve this issue.
    You should send a request to the garmin support directly.
    But Outlining this issue here was a very good idea.

    The old forums had a "display name" as well as the user name. Unfortunately, it doesn't appear that this forum has the same functionality.

    Since MB existed before the integration with MyGarmin, there was an aliasing system there, too. Unfortunately (again), I don't see similar functionality on Garmin Connect. My guess is that if you alias, you're essentially reserving two user names and thus that was scrapped. Just a guess.

    I think that Ben is correct. You will need to work with Garmin support directly. Maybe they can change your username for you?

    Thats true, I used my work email for my myGarmin account for a while but when I started using these forums, it showed up. If you talk with Garmin Support, they should be able to change it for you.
