I don't see my multisport workout in Gamin Connect. I only see my first run of a duathlon. It's in my Garmin Training Center under multisport. How do I get the bike ride and second run in Garmin Connect. I had no problems in MotionBased. I use the Forerunner 305.

Thanks

Ok, so you found it. Care to share the solution? Because now a year later I have the same problem.
  • I'm guessing he's just seen that each leg, including transitions if recorded, are loaded into Garmin Connect as individual entries. There is no collection into one multisport activity line in training centre

I have a Forerunner 310XT. I recorded a multisport activity with transitions, which appears correctly in Garmin Training Center. When Garmin Training Center sent it to Garmin Connect, Garmin Connect stripped out the transitions and displays the swim/bike/run legs as separate activities.

Garmin, when will this be fixed?
  • Garmin Connect, and most other websites and programs, break the multisport activity into activities and transisitions. When I do a triathlon with transisitons I get seperate entries for Swim, T1, Bike, T2, Run; 5 separate entries. Only in Garmin Training Centre are they summarised as 1, but listed underneath.

When you say that Garmin Training Centre sent them to Garmin Connect are you saying that you manually exported the activity from GTC? If not, the activity is sent from ANT Agent via Garmin Communicator to Garmin Connect. In which case, as long as you had T1 and T2, they should appear. If the transitions are lost then there may be a problem with Garmin Communicator and you activity.

Note also, this behaviour is not seen as a problem by Garmin. It's incredibly upsetting to some users, but not so to others. IMHO it's not worth getting upset about it, but if you really do want to see multsport activities grouped in Garmin Connect then you need to raise the issue directly with Garmin

I selected the activity, and then "Send to Garmin Connect" from the File menu in Garmin Training Center.

as long as you had T1 and T2, they should appear.

It was a standard triathlon activity. The swim, bike, and run were kept as separate activities, but T1 and T2 were lost.

I'm not upset about this, but I really do want multisport activities supported, especially since Garmin support keeps telling me that Garmin Training Center will no longer be updated. If that is true, they need to add all the features to Garmin Connect, including offline data access.

Garmin support said this in response to my question (and referring to the .tcx file from my triathlon activity):

Currently Garmin Connect doesn't do multi sport workouts. The file is valid and when Garmin Connect supports this it should work as you planned. This feature may be added in the future. If you would like your feedback to be seen by the group that manages and develops Garmin Connect please visit http://forums.garmin.com. Developers, please add this change request to your list. If your awesome Forerunner devices support multisport activities and Garmin Training Center is going away, then Garmin Connect really needs to support them. Thank you.
