Badges for Run / Race Events ?

Is there a way to know ahead of time, what Runs / Races / Marathon / Triathlon, etc., events will have Garmin badges available?
Always, by the time I see that an event (e.g. the Venice Marathon) has an associated Garmin badge, it's too late to register for the event.   Having as much notice as possible would help.

    No. The badges are announced very very late. Usually just a few days before the race. To be able to plan for the races the badges should be announced several months in advance.

    Even after the badges have been published I can't find any info anywhere at the race site or at any Garmin site about it. The only place to see that there is a badge available is in Garmin Connect.

    I've given up on looking for Races and Events under Training and Planning on  Connect Web. I would have thought that would be the ideal place for Garmin to announce upcoming events....Maybe it's there but I can't find anything.
