Unable to edit personal records via Garmin Connect Web

I am trying to add a personal record which wasn't recorded by my Garmin using this page: https://connect.garmin.com/modern/personal-records.

I am able to enter a value in the "Record" field, and click the green arrow to confirm:

However, the "Send to Device" button is greyed out, and when I navigate away from the page, the form is reset without saving my record.

You have to assign an activity to the record first (go to the concerned activity, and select Set as PR in the cogwheel menu). Only then you will be able to edit the time.

BTW, 5:34 for a 5K run is more than twice as fast as the WR, so congrats to that

Make sure you don't hit enter at any time while entering the record. If you do that and then click the green checkmark the record will not be saved.
