My heart rate is not recorded when walking activity is done.

I went for a hikung. Since hiking is not  in the activiy list, I chose walking and it turned out the heart rate was not recorded. Wondering what is the cause of this issue

    Was the HR sensor working (lighting) during the walk? If not, then you'll have to find out why - it could be for example because it was disabled globally, disabled by  the Power Mode selected in the activity profile, disabled by Battery Saver, sensor obscured (for example by a sleeve), hardware malfunction, etc.

    If you do not know whether it worked or not, try another walk and check whether the sensor is emitting any light.
