I'm doing Coach Amy's Half Marathon plan and my next workout, a Pace Run, says "Warm up, then run at race pace.", but in step 2 it says "Run very hard. Talking should be difficult.". My goal race pace of 9min/mile is not very hard running if doing it only for 1 mile. Is it just me or do some of these workouts lack details or are just contradictory? And is the purpose of this workout to run Half Marathon race pace for my second interval, or run very hard (~5k pace). Thanks for any suggestions/ideas! :-)
