I am shortly going to visit China and hope to do some running in Beijing.
I have found some routes on various platforms and imported them into Garmin Connect. The routes look fine and follow the desired tracks.
The same routes, when synced with Garmin Explore are offset when viewing the Topo Active map layer*.
How will my location display on Garmin Connect maps when I am in China? Are there settings I can change if I am not shown to be on the correct path?
The screenshot shows the route on the Topo Active layer, which is the only one available in the Android App.
I hope to use the Garmin Connect offline maps while in China as I am from the UK with a UK phone SIM and expect to have connection issues as well as Google issues.
The blue route should wiggle along the green park below the railway station.
*just like the offset between Google map view and satellite view, which I understand to be related to the GCJ-02 co-ordinate system used in China.
