I get "This email address is already in use" when trying to change my e-mail address on my Garmin account.

From what I see on-line, I have to delete this account and then enter my new one. WHY !!!??? If there is a link for changing my e-mail, it should allow me to change it. What other option do I have for changing my e-mail? I don't want to have to download my data. It should not be this difficult.

Please advise.

I changed my email address now back and forth and it worked perfectly.

Have you made sure you haven't accidently created an account with the email address you are trying to change to?

Maybe you already got an account with the email address you are trying to change to. Use the Forgot Password function with that email address to see if you get an email from Garmin.

I had a similar issue with a different web site a few years ago. It turned out that sometime in the past, I had chosen to sign in using Google rather than my usual email login. When I did that, the web site created a second account which blocked my real account.

Same here...pisses me off how,such a,simple task gers,so complicated with Garmin
