Training lässt sich nicht verschieben

Hallo zusammen,

Tag schiebe. Das funktioniert bei mir leider nicht. Was mache ich falsch?

Vielen Dank schon mal für euer Hilfe ...

  • You can only move today's or future workouts. If it is a workout in the past then it isn't possible to move.

When I test it now I only get the Reschedule option when I view the workout from the training plan page: Training & Planning > Garmin Coach Plans > [click the plan] > [click the workout]

Also note that workouts from the new Garmin Run Coach can't be moved.

  • Dear e7andy,

you write "also note that workouts from the new Garmin Run Coach can't be moved" - is that also true for the "Garmin Cycling Coach"? Because I cannot move trainings via drag and drop, and I am using garmin cycling coach...

  • I did a test and can't move those workouts either.

  • Thanks for your quick answer!

  • Hm, that's a bummer :-( Any tips on how to handle trainings which can't be done e.g. due to no time that specific day? Does Garmin Cycling Coach reschedule them automatically if they are missed?

  • You will get new workouts scheduled. You can also  do workouts in advance. No need to wait for the scheduled day.

  • If you really want to do such training on later date then simply create copy of this workout. Unfortunately you have to do this manually yourself.

But in my opinion this doesn't make any sense.

From my experience Garmin is using various data eg your sleep quality, recovery time, past 7 days training load divided between Anaerobic / High and Low Aerobic and calculate what will be your next day(s) the most suitable workouts for your defined goal.

Most of the time, people has fixed in time goal like Race / Event and that cannot be changed. It is out of your control.

If you miss one training session then you have in total less time until that event.

I guess everybody feels the same, that you might need to compensate that missed day and do future trainings a bit harder / longer or focused on something else what was planned yesterday. I hope you understand my point.

  • That's exactly right...in Garmin's words:

Using an adaptive training program such as Garmin Cycling Coach gives you flexibility. You have the freedom to skip workouts without derailing your program. If you miss a workout, the analytics engine will adjust your training plan accordingly. However, skipping too many workouts leading up to your event or goal could impact your end result. If you perform workouts outside of your plan, the program will adapt to ensure that the next workout is best suited to your needs.

  • Thank you both! Fully agree that future trainings then need to be (a bit) harder. From your feedback, I would understand that Garmin coach then automatically adjusts if I skip a training session.
