Using two watches for comparison - Will it mess with your stats

I am using two watches to compare them side by side. So full day wear + activities.

  • Stats like Body battery, RHR etc are synced through TrueUP
  • But two activities will be logged

Will the duplicate activity "impact" anything besides Garmin doubling stats like Distance, Hours etc on your profile page

No, they come from the Primary Wearable Device

Yes, it will impact Training Effect, Training Load, Recovery Time, Challenges, Badges, and possibly others.

I recommend either recording the activities only with one watch, or creating a second Garmin Connect account, and having the watches separate, each with own account. You may need a second watch or tablet for that. I would not recommend switching the accounts on the same phone.

  • I see .. deleting the activity should revert some of the stats like training load or will it not recalculate?

  • No, a lot of it will not be recalculated. I forgot also some others like Training Readiness, Insights, probably also Race Predictor (estimating your stamina much higher than it actually is), Coach Plans, Daily Suggested Workouts, most of the Reports, totals, averages, etc.

I really discourage you from logging activities with both watches simultaneously on the same account. I use also several watches, and record activities with two of them, but have them on separate accounts.
