doesnt sync between web and connect

My Connect Android and the connect web doesn't sync. I already checked the emails which are corresponsing. Do I miss a step? If I want to sync on the web page they suggest to download the connect app, which I #$@%@%@ already have and which is working.

    Not sure what you mean, because there is no syncing available on Garmin Connect Web. For that you need the Garmin Express program, which is not a phone app. It is a Windows or Mac program. Or you have to sync with Garmin Connect, as shown on the web Help page.

    However, if the data is not identical on the app vs the web, and you tried clearing the browser cache to exclude that it is the reason, then you are not logged into the same account.

    You can verify whether you use the same account by comparing the account IDs. On the web, click your avatar and select View Profile. The ID is the last part in the address bar, after https://connect.garmin.com/modern/profile/. On the app, you can find the ID in Menu » Settings » App Diagnostics » Profile Name (iOS) or Display Name (Android).

  • To clarify how it works, the Connect Android app and website don't sync with each other, and your device (e.g. Garmin watch) doesn't sync directly with the app, either. The Connect website and Connect app are just two different ways of looking at the same data that's ultimately stored in your Connect account, which is why they don't literally sync with each other.

    Your device syncs with your Connect account in one of several different ways:

    - via the Connect iOS or Android app, connected by bluetooth

    - via Wi-Fi

    - via Garmin Express (PC or Mac), connected by USB cable

    Like trux said, if the Connect app and Connect website are logged into the same account, they should be showing the same data.

    What's the difference between what you see in the app and the website? Does the website have some of the data that you see in the app, or none of it?

  • Also, it is possible that the missing activities in the Connect website are actually visible in the newsfeed (and only the newsfeed)?

    Probably isn't the same thing as this person's problem affect both the app and the website.

  • I resolved the problem by following the steps of Trux. It was NOT the same account, although it somehow showed the same Email. Problem solved, thanks everybody!
