Daily step goal Vivoactive 4s reset

I've reached my daily step goal every day for close to 200 days, but recently the device did not register that I reached the goal, and now it has restarted the count, putting me back to 5 days of reaching the goal.  When I check the individual day it reset and surrounding days, I met my goal by 200%.  Is there a way to get my step streak notification to display accurately or is my streak lost for good?

  • How does the graph at https://connect.garmin.com/modern/steps/2024-09-04/2 look like? If there is a blue bar instead of a green one, 5 days ago, then move the mouse over it, and see what was the goal and the actual number of steps you did on that day. Then switch to the single-day mode, change the system date on your computer manually to the concerned day, and edit the goal (see the triple dot icon at top right) on the Steps page so, that it is lower than the number of steps done. Reload the page and verify the status changed, and that the Steps Goal was met. Once done, enable the auto-date on your computer again.

  • Thanks, but the issue is that the bar is showing green for all days, and for some reason, the watch restarted the count back to 0 days, even though there were no days when I missed the goal.  I'm wondering if there is anyway to correct what the watch is telling me.

  • My old Vivoactive 4 did the same thing. It is only the watch software, The Hydration counter could not add or subract correctly either. Garmin Mobile and Web both had the goals correct. I guess the problem was never solved, and probably never will be. I had the VA4 repllaced with a Venu 2 by Garmin when the sleep calcs went bad. That goal count now works. Don't expend time trying to get them to fix it as the 4 models have been replaced now by the 5.
