Additional addition of heart rate to activity

Have a nice day,
I have activity logged on my Garmin Edge.

However, I didn't notice that I don't have a clock (Garmin Fenix) paired with the Edge and so I don't have my heart rate captured in the activity.

I can view this in Garmin Connect in the "Heart rate" section. Is there any way to add the heart rate data to the activity additionally?

 Thank you.

No, except of manually hacking the activity file (easier done with the human-readable TCX format), but it is definitely not worth of the time, since creating the activity manually will have no impact on the metrics, and on your stats anyway. Besides that, the all-day HR is recorded with the interval of 2 minutes (average values), while the activity uses the sampling rate up to 1s. Hence the all-day HR is not really usable for any activity.

  • Hi trux, thank you for your reply, even if it didn't make me happy :)

I'll clarify further (I don't know if it changes anything) - the watch was probably recording HR as it they do during activity, because I had the "Broadcast HR" option selected,

I just didn't notice that the watch wasn't paired with the Garmin Edge.

As long as you did not record the activity on the watch, unfortunately the data is lost.

  • Thank you for the reply, next time I will pay better attention if the two devices managed to pair.
