Syncing two devices (Forerunner/Lily) to one account, data not correct

Hi all, I use a Forerunner 255s for running, walking & weight training but bought a Lily 2 Classic to wear the rest of the time. I'm trying to get them to sync but am having problems with the Lily.

This AM I woke up with a 93 body battery on the Forerunner and it was sitting at 68 when I added the new Lily to my account. I set the Lily as my default device, put it on, configured it, and my body battery said...39???? Now I've synced it and my body battery on the device says 39 instead of 68. What the what? This doesn't sound like accurate syncing to me. Then the Lily synced to Garmin Connect, updated my body battery to 39, and my Forerunner is now still sitting at 68.

Thoughts? Am I doing something wrong? If I can't get this syncing thing figured out then this is a very expensive (albeit pretty) brick on my wrist. Thx!

UPDATE: After digging around it seems that BB doesn't actually sync between the two devices. Most of the discussion was from years ago, so I'm not sure if that has been remedied or if there's some sort of workaround? I wouldn't necessarily mind having everything not quite sync correctly if the Lily wasn't a full 25 points less than it should be!

How Is Body Battery Tracked If I Wear Multiple Watches?

If you alternate between devices throughout the day, the body battery data in Garmin Connect will only be from the watch set as your Primary Wearable Device. However, you will still be able to see body battery data on the watch widget/glance screen from the non-preferred tracker during the time it is worn.

Body battery does not utilizes TrueUp so you may see a difference between the body battery stats from one watch to the other.

if there's some sort of workaround?

Keep you Primary Wearable Device always on (even if you use a second device for recording an activity)

It is simply the default value set after you changed the PWD. After a few days, the new watch will collect enough data to start showing a more accurate value.

  • Thanks for the response. I'll give it a few days. Was annoying though, to wake up this AM and have my body battery be at 54 when it should've been close to 80 :)
