Garmin Coach Plans

As an user of FR955 I have posted here Link to my observations

Today I would like to share it here, as I see differences in both GCM and GCWeb apps.

1. On the watch I can see that my event is in 7 weeks, 6 days. This is the most accurate and correct.

In GCWeb Home page it says Week 30 of 38, what suggests it is still 8 weeks to go. First picture is detailed view, second what I can have on Home page. Please note on the Home page glance, Monday is already "Done". See another comment below.

In GCM it says Wek 31 of 38, what is more less what Watch says. First screen is from Home page, second when select Garmin Coach at the bottom.

2. All 3 places shows the same details, which is good.

3. On the watch as well GCWeb I can see individual workouts (see below), with details like for VO2 Max, but in GCM when I touch the same looking icons of days screen flicks, but lands back on Home page. I can still see details in Calendar view, but this is not expected behavior.

4. Speaking of Calendar this looks the same in all places. GCWeb as having largest screen available shows the most of data, while GCM only orange bars that something is planned. I have still need to click on each to find out what is going on.

5. I have actually seen (see picture above from GCWeb), but cannot reproduce it now anymore, that Monday (today) have check mark already as my Recovery run would be done (which is not). I guess this might be sync issue, but I was online for several hours already and that should be the same all over the places.

I would appreciate your comments and if you will find similar report them as bugs. Hopefully this will be heard by Garmin and corrected.

  • Unfortunately I can't offer any wisdom as I don't really use Garmin Coach.

But I wanted to congratulate you for choosing to run the Berlin Marathon. You are in for a treat. Fantastic event! I have done it twice now and are absolutely in love. Berlin itself is worth a visit, but running the course is something else. Lots of spectators, great history along the route and fantastic atmosphere.

Enjoy and good luck with your training plan!

  • Thanks. I did 10 times already on InlineSkates. I know the vibe very well. Now for 50th I have decided to change shoes and Run instead of Ride.

  • Short update.

Today there is still Tuesday in the place I live. But glance on the GCWeb Main page is telling me that I have already made tomorrow workout. Interesting. And today is still not "tick off" but I did that Recovery run.\
