Activity Completed by Accident - No Badge Earned :(

I've had this happen multiple times where I accidentally end a longer activity during a pause. It's incredibly frustrating because how can the UX be designed in such a way that there's no confirmation asking if you really want to end the activity, or the ability to quickly resume it? Do you have any solutions for this? Today, I planned my day around a 40km cycling challenge, and of course, the activity ended midway, so I didn't get the badge. Is it possible to report this to support to get the badge awarded?

Which watch?

If you press stop to pause the watch the default option is to resume. To save and end the activity you have to switch to save and select it.

Venu SQ 2. After pausing with the side button, saving is done on the touchscreen and it’s easy to do it accidentally. I know the files can be merged, but this is not accepted by Garmin challenges.

Merged files work with challenges. The requirement is that the activity is logged with a Gamrin device and if you use the original files it will work. You can also change the device if you need to.

Avoid pausing. With touchscreen it is easy to accidently do actions. If the pause is shorter than just a few minutes then it is a part of the training.

Everyday, the lock annoys me, and I don't always enable it before starting an activity. The site you provided did not solve my problem. Garmin Connect refuses to accept the merged file, treating it as a duplicate activity. Anyway, many thanks for your advices

You must delete the original activities. You can't upload the same activity twice.
