Adapting a route found on garmin connect

I was looking for a hike in the village were I'm spending my holiday. I found one on komoot, but I can't download the GPX because this region isn't unlocked. I found the same route on GC and I could put it on my watch, but I would have loved to adapt the start and finish to correspond with the place where I'm staying. But apparently this is not possible. Is this correct?

Duplicate the course in Garmin Connect to save it into your account and then select Edit.

I couldn't duplicate the route. The problem wasn't GC but the tablet I'm using: the 3 dots to select duplicate or delete,. . aren't visible when using my tablet.

Yeah there's a bunch of issues like this with the Garmin Connect website on ipad, where stuff on the edges of a panel or page is either not visible or can't be tapped. I highly doubt Garmin even tests on ipad.
