How do I download exercise load data for all activities?

I want to download and put into a spreadsheet all of my activities and with each one include:

  • Exercise load
  • Primary benefit
  • Aerobic score
  • Anaerobic score

I want to use this to monitor how much I'm favouring one sport over another. The seven day rolling distance apps for running and cycling are brilliant, but it would be great if I could drill down on the data a bit more and be able to do something similar with any sport I like. For example, I like rock climbing and I like how it gives me an exercise load for it and notes the aerobic and anaerobic scores which help my load focus and ratio, but it would be good to be able to access that data in a table. I see just now that it includes the aerobic score, but not the total load or the anaerobic score.

Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks

  • You could use the free 3rd-party site https://www.runalyze.com, which syncs with your garmin account.

It supports 3 of the 4 things you want:

    - Exercise Load => "TRIMP (by file)"

    - Aerobic score => "Training Effect (by file)"

    - Anaerobic score => "Anaerobic Training Effect (by file)"

Once you have all your data in runalyze, you can export the summary data for all activities (including the 3 columns above) to a CSV file (it takes a few seconds).

Unfortunately the primary benefit description isn't available afaik.

  • Ok. Brilliant! Got it all working! Took me a moment! Joy
