Cadence Sensor picture & Information NOT shown on activity page

Hi, I re-launch this old thread since I can't reply there.

There is some reason why the cadence sensor is not listed in the activity or it is my mistake?
I have seen other questions, none with a concrete answer. I also found this article but I believe it is outdated because my Dual HRM and Speed Sensor 2 do show up correctly in my activity.
https://support.garmin.com/en-US/?faq=7XFOHzhrob9EcTuWVsUrcAHRM Dual and SPD2 are displayed on the activity with the battery level information but not the CAD sensor.

Also looking at the .fit file that generates the cycling activity I see that the CAD sensor information is there, even with its battery level. This makes me wonder again what the reason is for not listing it with the other sensors.

It would be great if would publish in Connect the information of the battery voltages at the end of the activity, in fact it is also in the .fit file but it is not displayed.
Thanks!

  • It is working as documented. HRM Dual and Speed Sensor 2 support that feature. They are both listed in that linked page. So, Garmin just didn't add that function for Cadence Sensor 2.

Since the data is there I suggest you send a request to Garmin to add it to the activity: https://garmin.com/ideas

  • Thank you ! that's right, my mistake, I read fast as if that was the “unsupported” list Dizzy face

Yes, I have done this a while back and apparently in several threads they have done the same thing several years ago but I decided to check it out when I saw that the information was already in the .fit file but was not showing up in Connect.
Coincidentally on a workout I ran out of battery on the cadence sensor, now I know I can check the .fit file every few months and see the battery level every so often.

    Thanks again!

  • You should get a message on the watch when the sensor reaches low battery level. I get that for my Vector 2 pedals on my Edge.

  • No, that didn't happen, or at least I didn't see it. Thanks!

  • Hello again, just in case that be useful to anyone as reference. The Garmin Connect sensor battery warning is not helpful. I had the speed sensor with the OK message and green label. On the next ride, 2 days later, I noticed that the speed sensor was not sending information. I never received a low battery alert or warning. A few days later I also changed the cadence sensor but here it was logical since this one does not warn.
