Zwift activities to GC do not get laps/splits

My have all my indoor activities, from Zwift, syncing to GC.
However I am not getting the 5km laps/splits as i get with my outdoor activities.
Eg. Outdoor from EDGE100km gives me 20 5km laps/splits.

Indoor from Zwift 100km gives me 1 lap of 100km.

Is this simply a setting change or is GC simply not doing this step?

Is there a fix?

The laps must be coming from the source - from the device or from the app recording the activity. It means in this case from Zwift. GC never adds any laps. Have a look whether Zwift has the option to add laps. If not, speak to Zwift, and ask them to add the feature. As a workaround, you could use an external tool for editing the FIT file of the activity, and add the laps manually, but that would be a rather a lot of work, if you need it always.

  • Like trux said, Connect doesn’t add laps, it only displays laps created by the activity source (e.g. Edge or Zwift.)

It’s not a perfect solution but you can use the free site www.runalyze.com to analyze your Garmin Connect data (it can sync with Connect automatically). From there you can (temporarily) chop up any activity into laps of arbitrary time or distance (you can even have laps with different distances or times.)
