REVERSION TO PRIOR GARMIN CONNECT HOME PAGE

Dear Garmin CEO and Connect Team:

The only reason Garmin exists and you have a job is to serve your customers by providing us with the products and services we want. The response to the rollout of your new Connect Home Page clearly suggests that your customer base is very unhappy with the layout. It reminds me of the introduction of Coca Cola's New Coke, a product nobody asked for.

At a minimum you should enable us to revert to the prior layout and possible eliminate the new layout. The new side-by-side layout and need to click See All to see my data, truely adds nothing.

Please reply to your customers if you will revert to the prior layout, so that we, in turn, can decide if we need to switch to one of your competitors' platforms.

Thank you in advance for your immediate attention and response.

  • You can use pretty much every other Training-App e.g. Strava or TrainingPeaks.

However, all of these Apps use Connect as source. No way around this.

  • I totally agree with the author of this thread. Garmin, please listen to your users' requests

  • if you have android  all you have too do is uninstall latest ver and reinstall 4.77.1 which is easily found online

  • Old home page please.  The new home page is just to difficult to use and uses screen space very poorly.

Garmin folks: please take your community comments seriously.  I really like your products and I don’t want to have to go to an Apple Watch, but the new new connect upgrade is about to push me to your competitor.

  • As we are in the Garmin Connect Web Forum: which broweser based platform does Apple offer?

  •  At this point everyone has seen this post ad nausuem.

Garmin makes amazing hardware, but for a company of its size their lack of ability in the software area is astounding. They have dumbed down the app and the website to appease and court the average Joe who wants to get more healthy, you can see it in the way they are promoting the new health based watches like the Venu3. Those folks, and I have zero judgement, more power to them for getting healthy, are not data nerds, they do not want the same data as those who are more serious about training.

Garmin is supposed to be a premium fitness company but they seem to be going in a different direction with this app and website change. Maybe they are going to make it subscription based and users who want the data like it used to be can get it that way, but this, what we have now, is for the folks who complained that Connect was too complicated, had too much data, they wanted less data and simplicity with structured customization and choice and that is exactly what they got.

  • want the same data as those who are more serious about training.

You want to say that you are no longer able to train seriously because of 5.0 ? That would be strange. My wife is currently training for a marathon. That works perfectly with 5.0. All the data she needs for this is still available in Connect.

  • Maybe they are going to make it subscription based

    Certainly not.

  • Maybe they are going to make it subscription based

    Certainly not.

Where's your proof?  It could be very possible that this is an intention given what they have done to the webpage and app...

  • People use data in different ways..  4.77 allowed this without wasting space, and numerous clicks etc.. whilst it may suit you and your wife this is not the case for the vast majority...
