When saving edited workouts connect is changing the duration of some warm-up & cool-down steps to 0:00

I've been editing several workouts in GC Web through Chrome browser; However when I save the workout, connect is randomly setting the duration of some warm-up & cool-down steps to 0:00 even if they haven't been edited or modified and I have to edit the workout again to set them to their previous values where on the 2nd save they are saved correctly.

Anyone else seen that one?

  • same issue: if I edit training's of my plan - some steps will be set to a duration of 0, no matter of changed via GC web or IOS app.

  • It happens to me every time I edit a saved workout. It will reset my rest periods to "0:00" and sometimes the exercises themselves. It will also screw up bodyweight exercises. I usually have to edit, save, edit, save and then maybe it's ready to send to device. I edit using Chrome or GC on my iPhone.

  • As you suggested I submitted this problem to Garmin and have since been informed by them that it has been fixed.  I have tested it with one workout and it does seem to be okay now. Didn't do extensive testing. Here's the text of the email from them.

"Reaching back out regarding a case that was submitted on your behalf for an issue around custom workouts not properly saving the values entered.  This issue should now be resolved via a backend update released to Garmin Connect. This change would only apply to newly created/edited workouts. Any that were already affected will not be updated. Thank you for bringing this to our attention and for your patience while we worked to address this issue."

To add to their text "only apply to newly created/edited workouts" the workout I tested it on had been created prior to the bug fix. It was part of a training plan I downloaded from Garmin before the fix. So it appears that you won't have the problem editing older workouts, but the bug fix doesn't go back and correct any workouts that you have already had the problem on.
