  • I welcome change when it is provides improvement.  The (required) changes  to both the web version and the app makes things worse.  Old web version dashboard was great, but new one is too limited.  No way to show goals on the dashboard.  Also, no way to show goals on the mobile app (wasn't there before either).  Overall, poorly done.

  • You can reinstall previous android app(many have) just uninstall and install 4.77.1. Myself and others have posted links in the forum or you can search online.

  • I had customized my dashboard to have the following informations:

    - Latest activities

    - Last 7 days distances (stacked bar graph per activity type)

    - Last 7 months distances (stacked bar graph per activity type)

    - Last 7 days speed (stacked bar graph per activity type)

    - Last 7 months speed (stacked bar graph per activity type)

    - News (activities from my contacts)

Perhaps other stuff as well. Among this, the ones I really found useful are latest activities and weekly/monthly totals. The other, I could live without.

The new homepage is worthless. I wouldn't mind a breaking change (this has to happen from times to times) if I was able to recreate most, if not all, of what I need by manual configuration. People have different needs, we can't all be satisfied with the same defaults.

But I tried to customize it and the only widget I found that would be relevant to me is Focus -> Trends but it is far from providing what I used to have. Clicking on the graph gets me to the report section where I seem to be able to find the information I'm looking for. Being able to embed chosen reports in the homepage would make it acceptable to me.

Most of the information provided by the new interface is co-called "health data" collected by the device when worn and recording 24/7. I don't need this, I wear my watch energy saving mode and most of it is worthless for me and the people I know. No judgement, people may find it useful, but not what we're after.

Please don't turn from sport devices to AI powered data mining devices producing *** KPI dashboards.

  • Why isn’t there a zero star option. Or even less than zero? This new interface is absolutely terrible!

  • never change a running system... is there a chance to turn back to the old screen?

  • actually 0 star... never change a running system. is there a chance to turn back to the old screen?

  • Call Garmin Support at 1-800-800-1020 to ask that they allow users the option to revert back to the old home page.

  • Just awful, can't be customized and the data that's selected is not useful to me

  • I have a quite simple idea to fix this whole issue: Garmin should add a switch in the app between "list view" (aka the old design) and "grid view" (aka the new design). I understand that the website's design is now somehow linked to the app's design. That's ok, but Garmin should simply add the option to create own dashboards as in the previous version. My guess is that this would made the majority happy.

  • The way they've screwed up the web side of things is the main problem

I understand that the website's design is now somehow linked to the app's design.
