The new web home page is a JOKE

I tried the beta and went back  to the good non beta that shows all the info I want in a manner I want to see it, then when i logged in this morning i was confronted with this

And on pressing the blue button I was confronted with this

This is of little use to me really as even with in focus turned on  as I have now gives me very little useful info like my dashboards used to

But you are not helping in any way whatsoever! Your responses are not adding anything other than antagonising all of us who have an actual complaint, and you clearly come across as a Garmin “fan boy”. Every person here knows the data is still there on the awkward links on the left, none of us are saying it isn’t, we are saying the main dashboard which should provide the info on the “At a Glance” screen has been totally butchered! We are saying the whole point of the main “HOME” screen has been taken away. I can see by your amateurish web site you know a little about programming,  but obviously not adept at designing software for the users. I on the other hand work in a Sales team in a global software company based out of the US, and if our main dashboard took away the customers access to all their data there would be a global outcry! Much like is happening here.

Exactly!! Garmin has gone completely against how modern programming works!! All of the solutions my company provides now run off easy to use dashboards, it is what customers want, they don't want to be told "just use those awkward links down the side to access the data"!!

The solutions my company sells, mind you we partnered with Apple about 20 years ago, is "device agnostic", meaning it looks great on mobile devices and desktop, and yet we provide our customers with easy to sue dashboards that allow them to display on the home screen what they want and drill down to the data they need. Why can Garmin not do it??

  • Where does Garmin get some of these developers and whom at Garmin lets this junk go live?

Not sure if the "57" is your year of birth sorry Dave, but I am in my late 50s, so prefer the web site as it is easier to read :-) I know I can make the font massive on my iPad, but I am just a PC person...LOL

And it isn't just kid's eyesight, have you seen the stats around number of young people with neck pain?? Holding their phone looking down at it all the time is causing huge issues with neck and upper spine.

I refuse to upgrade it, wonder how long I will have until it forces me? My wife is a "Technical Business Analyst" and foolishly has "auto update" turned on, she just came to me and asked why Garmin looks so sh!t now...LOL She asked me "didn't Garmin do a Beta or ask for user input"...I just laughed.

  • The nonstop uncaring attitude towards their customer's wishes and the handling of this whole thing by the mods ensured that my next watch is a Coros.

  • sunnto did that

Remember it well,  wasn't happy about that either and I no longer use a Suunto because the mobile app was rubbish.
