Garmin Ignored Beta Testers

Just have to go here and read the comments https://www.reddit.com/r/Garmin/comments/1cb576w/new_garmin_connect_update/.

The appalling changes made to the Garmin Connect Home screen by Garmin have enraged a lot of people. Personally, I have 4 family members now wanting to change to "Coros", we are going in together on the weekend to see if we can get a deal if we buy 4 new Coros watches. Garmin is continuing it's downhill slide because of it's arrogance, and not caring what customers actually want!!

  • I've not heard of Coros watches, but will be looking at them. Either that or back to FitBit. I switched to Garmin because they provised excellent sleep tracking. It's possible the sleep tracking is excellent, but they keep chipping away at how they actually display the metrics that it's essentially useless now. This additional reduction in dashboard quality is the nail in the coffin unless they sort themselves out in the next couple weeks.

A lot of runners in our running group, especially the Trail runners, have swapped to Coros over the last few years. I expect more wills wap now.

  • Garmin is just like any other company in this times. They release beta for testing and completely ignore what betatesers says. Participate in beta program this days are pointless and waste of time.

Good call! My Fenix 6 is getting a bit long in the tooth, and was looking at the Fenix 7s, but this latest debacle has put me off Garmin completely. The Suunto watches look nice.
