Garmin Connect web dashboard- information is now LESS accessible than before

The new update is extremely frustrating. The tiles are smaller and harder to read. The "at a glance" states you can pick 8 things to display, but only 4 show on the home page, despite there being space for more, but just sits blank. The very definition is "glance", as in easy to see with a single look, but that is the opposite of what is happening. The tiling is imbalanced, there is no ability to arrange in an order that makes the info accessible to me. In order to see anything properly I have to navigate to each thing separately- which is really poor function for something that was supposed to be new and improved and make our data more accessible.

I am wondering if the designers see this feedback and if Garmin will actually respond to it. This has been discussed during their beta testing stage and clearly they did not listen. How incredibly disappointing.

  • How enlightening to see Garmin being the epitome of modern software companies:  Offer less, make user pay more, TERRIBLE UX, less information.  Disappointing doesn't even cover it.

In some ways this is on me.  I knew the beta was out there, I just didn't bother to check it before recently upgrading my watch.  If I had I would have gone to a competitor's brand!  *** you Garmin, I hope you tank on the basis of this ***!

  • I'm a runner - trust me, the reduced amount of information is *** useless to me to.

  • Sad too hear thats the case for even runners....

  • I agree that this new Garmin Connect redesign is total crap. My Home screen had all the information I want to view.

This new Home screen is useless and I cannot customize it the with the information I want to view.

I want to be able to see all my Gear (shoes), my weekly run total, monthly run total, and weekly total activity time. That is it, and I not I have move to different screens for all of this separate data.

This is extremely disappointing, terrible and totally unwanted. WTF!!!

  • I encourage you to contact Garmin directly. I get the feeling feedback posted here is kind of just screaming into the void. Though it is affirming to see others with the same concerns.

  • Thanks for that. But I'm in the Netherlands.

  • New dashboard is POS.  Who do they test with?

  • 100%. I also set weekly, monthly and annual goals, and I loved the graphic rendition of my progress on those on the home page. Now those are on a separate page, displayed as a collection of uninspiring, hard-to-read bar charts. Boooo.

  • My entire screen is clobbered with crap I don't care about and I'm forced to display at least one component that I have no use for. Utter garbage. Will be transitioning away from Garmin soon
