Sharing activities in groups

Why do people join groups but don’t share their activities? I understand that privacy is a concern, but if that’s the case, then don’t join a group.

If nobody in the group shared anything, then there might as well be no group to begin with.

I created my own group. It is private and can only be joined by invation. And we have a very limited number of members whom we know and trust to view our activities and other data.. We don't want our data to be visible all over the world.

We mainly do group challenges and a bit of fun stuff.
