No badges given for activity uploaded to Garmin connect web?

I've uploaded some GPX biking activities that met the requirements but haven't received any badges for them. Is this a bug or do I need to modify the activity after uploading?

You have to record the activity with a Garmin device in order to get a badge. Imported activities do not count.
