Abnormal low level resting calories

At my age 70 the level of resting calories should be around 1600 / 1700 per Day by any standards It is actually 780 calories ! Quite impossible. For testing purposes I have modified the age as 40 years ( about 2000 resting calories per  day by any standards), it was actually 980 calories.

In both cases it is about half of the normal standard. It is obvouisly wrong. Particularly as this anomaly came with a new watch. Before it was standard.

If you refer to the Resting Calories of the current day, then please keep on mind that only the appropriate part of the full-day Resting Calories is shown before the day is over. So for example at noon, the Resting Calories will be only one halve of the full-day amount.

If the Resting Calories are too low at past full days, then the most likely reason is that your weight is not correct, in the settings, or that you do not use the correct units (for example entering the weight in kilograms, while using the Staute units expecting weight in pounds).
