Compare Activities Started To Include paused time on elevation view

I like to use the Compare activities function so that I can see at what point in two similar rides where I lost or gained on the rides.  A bit like comparing segments in Strava.

The 'video' view showing the map and the route always used to stop the two rides' icons whenever my Garmin went into auto pause (ie traffic lights), which I guess is understandable as it reflects what actually occurred.

However underneath the map view you can select other plotted track views such as average speed or power. I usually select the Elevation track  view and until this week any pauses on the rides were not included and the icons moved continuously ignoring any stops, so I was able to get a pause/stoppage free view of one ride against another.  This was handy as getting through traffic lights would impact the rides differently.

Now however the Elevation track view has included the pause/stop points so I cant really see where my rides differed as on one ride I might have got a red traffic light and the other went straight through on a green.

I'm not aware I've changed any settings, and it does this for old rides as well as new ones,  so wondered if anyone else has this situation and what might put it back to a pause free view?

Many thanks

Mark
