I have a micro-SD card in my Edge 1000. The Edge operating system auto creates directories on the SD card that are similar to some of the directories on the internal storage. After recording a ride, the system sometimes saves my activity on the SD card but at other times the activity is saved on the internal storage. In both cases, the directory is Garmin -> Activities on either storage location. Trouble is, when saved on internal storage the device cannot upload it; whereas, when saved on the SD card uploading is nearly instant.
When viewing Activities on the unit, it shows all activities regardless of which of the two activity directories they are stored within; however, attempts to upload activities that are saved on the internal directory always results in failure, even though the unit is connected via Bluetooth to my phone and the Garmin Connect app.
I have changed the name of the Activities directory on the internal storage in an effort to circumvent this, but the system just recreates the directory.
Has anyone else experienced this issue? Have other Edge models experienced the same fault? What can be done to make these units behave?
