Why won't Garmin let us reschedule a missed workout?

It used to be that it would show you missed workouts (Coach) from the same week, but it no longer does. Even the hacks of pausing and resuming plan don't work anymore.

So my question is what's the underlying reason? Software engineering, behavior psychology?

It's a constant annoyance, for no apparent reason.

Am I the only one that feels this way?

  • So my question is what's the underlying reason

It is not needed, since the Coach program is adaptive. It means if you skip a workout, the program adapts accordingly. Rescheduling would just cause more havoc.

  • That's not true at all. My workout plan has 2 drills followed by a long run, and if I miss the long run, I can't just put it for the next day. The plan doesn't "adapt", it just moves forward without you.

  • I agree with you completely  - it just moves on regardless of whether it is a missed workout or you pause the training. I paused mine for two weeks due to injury and started it up thinking I would be right where I left off only to find I was two weeks further along and totally unprepared for the distances assigned.
