uploaded zwift activities don't count for active calories

as the title suggests, why can't garmin use the calories sent from zwift in its total for the day. garmin need to account for these activities that are available to them for all results. this is very ineffective.

  • Calories are counted by the Primary Wearable Device. I am not familiar with Zwift, so I am not sure Zwift sends any Active Calories to Garmin, but I doubt it. It may not have all the data necessary for calculating them (your body parameters, training history, 7 days avg. Resting HR, Max HR, etc..)

If you want more accurate Active Calories data, you would have to connect the HRM strap to the watch, and start an activity on it.

  • that is the ppint, Zwift DOES send calories along with everything else so garmin has the data but doesn't use it for its daily total.

  • Try removing the Primary Wearable from the wrist when doing the Zwift ride, and see whether the Calories from Zwift are included in such case. It works in this way with Edge computers. If it does not with Zwift, you can suggest the change to Garmin at Share Ideas | Garmin
