Beta Connect Web

Hi

I have beta acces to Garmin Connect web for a several days.

Am I only one who thinks that is terrible? Big step back. 

I have 27 inch screen with QHD and most of my background is empty, because the single fields are very small, acording to mobile desing. 

Plus im missing lot of features (widgets) which was only on web connect. Such as calendar, activites of my friends, my gear, my goals...

Now i have to find the in menu, in separate kategories. This change is not good, it is even worse then before. 

New dashboard shows much less information then before + i cant even show them up. Now the Web connect = mobile connect. Why?

    Yeah I mentioned I'm a fullstack dev, I'm 100% aware of why it doesn't work. That's why I made sure to include the URLs in my screenshots, although that was probably a bit too subtle.

    When I put on my "normal user" hat, I absolutely realize that it doesn't matter.

    I know that, but others reading this thread may not realize the reason, and the information may be helpful for them.

    I don't think so, because nobody will think that editing a URL by hand is an acceptable workaround for this problem. It would be more useful to Garmin devs, if they're willing to fix the problem. Thanks, anyway.

    Anyway my point still stands that real links are superior to fake links with js click handlers. As far as I know, the browser behavior where CTRL/CMD-click opens "js links" in a new tab is fairly new behavior (within the past 5 years or so). If I had to guess, it was implemented due to years of complaints that CTRL-click on "js links" doesn't open a new tab as expected.

    Ahh good to know, have to try that.

    And sorry I meant to write middle-click, which is even easier to use then Ctrl+right-click ...

    Yeah that's another deficiency of fake javascript links. They work with CTRL/CMD-click (again presumably because browser vendors have added this behavior), but not with middle click. I can understand why, since it isn't standard for trackpads to support middle click (although some trackpads support three finger middle click).

    I just got access to Beta less than a week ago.
    yeah completely agree! Initially I thought it was me that found it strange it felt backward and missing alot of widgets.
    I'm trying to stay on it to see if its really me missing something but the more I use it, the more Im finding it missing features compared to before.

    I'm using 4k 43 inch screen.. the empty spaces around it so huge.
